Checks before Whitelisting

Before reactivating, please note the following:

  • Some of the blocklisted objects are temporarily blocklisted and SAP may whitelist or allow its general usage by removing from the blocklist in any future support package and thus, an object that is removed from blocklist, when executed or used, will no longer show the short dump.
  • Consult with development support before reactivating a blocklisted object.
    1. Raise a ticket on the component of the blocklisted object concerned and inquire with the development support of S/4 HANA whether the particular object is temporarily or permanently blocklisted, whether the particular object can be re-activated by the customer and used or custom enhanced.
    2. SAP development support may have a dialogue regarding what, why and how the blocklist object would be used by the customer and would reply whether it is feasible and safe to use the blocklisted object.
    3. Based on the approval of development support via the ticket, the customer may proceed to activate using instructions mentioned below.
  • However, please note that the development support’s approval on reactivating a blocklisted object in customer system as mentioned in this note would mean the customer reactivates at its own risk and SAP is not responsible for usage of the objects as long as they remain in SAP’s “Blocklist”, even when SAP approves its usage or custom enhancement.
